The Merimbula Grasshoppers Soccer Club present the Easter Tournament for U/13 boys & U/14 girls. This tournament commenced in 1981 as a follow on to the U/12 Centenary Cup for boys with the aim to give the local juniors something to cut their teeth on. To that end they have certainly succeeded.

Over the years they have managed to attract numerous teams from the Eastern States, representing their Associations or Clubs, even as far as Rotorua (New Zealand). It takes a very good team to win this carnival, as records over the past years show.

In 2007 Belnorth sent an under 15 girls team to the coast to participate in the event which marked the 21st Birthday for Belnorth at this tournament.

Players and families stayed at a camp site in Tathra called WAMBIRI. It is about a 20 minute drive from there to the tournament venue.
