The U12 Div1 boys went away to the Young Carnival on Sunday and had a fantastic time in the sunshine. After some pretty intense rain on Saturday the games were moved to a new oval which resulted in this writer having to call his wife back in Canberra to direct him to the new oval via google maps!

Our first game was against STFA and we started off really well with a  3-nil win. Our second game was against Cootamundra, or as Marco called them Catamindra which had me confused as to who he was talking about. We beat them 1-nil. Our third and final pool game was against Parkes and our confidence was sky high, but when we suddenly went 1-0 down the boys realised they had to work a little bit harder. We came away with a great 2-1 win as the final score. Our semi-final was against Tumut and we managed to win that  1-nil.
Then we were on to the final versus the host team, Young. We had watched them play during the day and knew that a good game was going to be had by both teams. We started out well and it was looking great for the lads. At the end of the match we were victorious with an awesome 4-nil win.

A great day of football was had by all and a big thank you to all the families for taking their kids along for what turned out to be a great tournament.
