  • Coaching at Belnorth

Coaches at Belnorth is a way by which we as a club can concentrate information relating to the coaching and managing of teams.

While this page itself will remain quite static, the Coaching News items shown below will be added as soon new items of interest come to hand.

  • Grounds & Fixtures

Each year the season kicks off on the Saturday following the first term holidays, normally in early May.

Before and during the season you will be able to book grounds for training as well as check to review the training schedule for Giralang and Kaleen grounds.

During each season you will be able to look here for the status of the grounds to see if your team is playing or if the fields are washed out.

Note:  All games for Saturday the 14th of August are still proceeding as planned at this stage.

  • Kanga Cup

In 2005 the club had ten teams playing in the Kanga Cup and the following year we saw eleven teams take part in the event. In 2007 and 2008 a record thirteen squads signed up to the competition and in 2009 that grew to fifteen.

Information about this event is located at http://www.kangacup.com.

  • Football Carnivals

Hi, and welcome to the Football Carnivals page for the Belnorth Football Club.

We are looking forward to the events of the next twelve months and are keen to participate in as many as we can. Events such as the Kanga Cup as well as competitions in Cowra and Young are good examples of such activities and are well worth our participation.

We would like to urge club members and their parents to provide as much assistance as possible so that we may participate in these events. This can be in the way of aiding in fund raising activities, taking a lead role in helping to organise functions or things as simple as notifying me of any events that we may not be aware of.

Please contact the club should you have any ideas for events or information content. The e-mail address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

As a precursor for all teams participating in events outside of the ACT (including Queanbeyan and Cooma) a 'Police Check' form is to be filled out by coaches and managers and returned to the Coaching Director. The form is available in soft copy in the Document Library

We are really looking forward to working with you over the coming summer and through next year's season. Let's get out there and have some fun!

Please contact me if you have any queries.

    Thanks
    Belnorth Activities Officer

  • Team Lists

Listed below will be the published junior team lists for the current season.

In the interest of fairness to all players we will only publish new team lists between the hours of 5pm and 830pm on any given day. This will allow players and parents to check for their name in the evening and not find out from their friends at school.

Some team are yet to be finalised and will be progressively published as they are completed.  A few age groups are still undergoing grading whilst others are still being arranged according to player numbers and other related issues.

*** Please Note that all Team lists are subject to completion of the formal registration process.  All players must be correctly and completely registered and also must have paid the appropriate fee. ***

As a hint for new players the white, red and blue colour coding for teams is meant to provide a transition from ungraded rooball teams into the competitive divisions.

The red squads may be likened to the division one category, the white category for div twos and the blue can be described as a division three equivalent. None of these age groups have a ladder so play from week to week for fun, fitness and development but not for competition points.

Because there are more teams in the white and blue categories they are generally broken into pools. White has been divided into a second half named 'silver' and the blue category has additional pools of green and yellow.

So the colour layout looks like this:

    • Red
    • White / Silver
    • Blue / Green / Yellow

Hopefully that may clear up some confusion.
